Re: U 20 football championship 2025
Would imagine both teams will feature a lot of the same players that were involved in the minor final. First year there was ever only 2 years between both grades at club level.

Re: Club football 2025
Did not mean to imply that Tullamore were using this as an excuse. They definitely were not but some on this thread want to change the rules around an outsider playing for a different club after Saturday's game.
As you said, Tullamore had an off day and that can happen any team.

Re: Club football 2025
Plenty of clubs in Offaly have bent the rules to accommodate outside players or players not living within their catchment area in the past.
Wasn't to many giving out before Saturday's game but now it's a problem because a big club like Tullamore, with a huge pick, got well bet by an even bigger ...

Re: Club football 2025
Couldn't get over the difference in size and physicality of both teams today. Ballyboden are on a different level all over the field to not only Offaly club teams but even our county team. Play a very direct brand of football and their shooting was top class, only having 2 wides.

Re: Club Managers 2024
Would be very surprised if Ger Rafferty stayed with Ferbane. Has done well with them and has came very close to getting over the line but feel it's time for a new voice to freshen things up.

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Hopefully KK take the initiative here and ban that clown from their matches in future. Kk very good in first half but the physical strength of Ballyhale took over in second half.

Re: Club football 2025
Cillian Burke very lucky not to see red in 2nd semi final. Incident happened very close to terrace side sideline but no surprise that it wasn't spotted by linesman.

Re: Club football 2025
Don't know how you can say we all saw it wasn't a 2 pointer. Was at the match Sunday and no one around me even mentioned the fact that he might have been inside the arc. Do not remember any Shamrocks player or mentor complaining at the time either.

Re: Club football 2025
Referee was right beside the player when he kicked the ball and he signalled for a 2 pointer. If the match was not being shown on Clubber no footage or still photo would have been available and it would not have been a talking point after game.

Re: Club football 2025
Whatever about the merits of appealing the 2 pointer that was given, if article in leinster express is to be believed, Shamrocks are going to protest at the standard of refereeing in the match after reviewing a number of incidents which they believe also went against them.

Re: Club football 2025
6 team Senior A would make more sense at the minute. Same 4 teams qualifying for business end of championship every year with Shamrocks trying to get up to that level last few years.
6 teams and same format as Senior B is at the minute would at least make it more interesting than it is the last few ...

Re: Club football 2025
Ferbane edenderry game was very poor standard wise for 2 of the so called better teams in the county, but the standard of refereeing was also shocking. Not an easy job but some of the decisions were baffling.

Re: Club football 2025
Ballycommon also out of championship as Edenderry and Ferbane on 5 points, Rhode on 4 points. So even if Durrow, who have nothing to play for, somehow defeat Rhode, Rhode still ahead of Ballycommon on head to head.
