Re: U20 Footballers

Offaly were very unlucky last night, but they battled right to the end. They gave everything they had for the full duration of the game and never threw in the towel, even when they went four points down late on. They kept pushing and managed to pull back two points, staying within reach right up to ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

Mickey Harte is probably getting away with a lot of criticism based on his history and what he has achieved, coupled with the fact that DK is so heavily involved in every area of offaly Football. When things go wrong he will invariably feel the pinch more.

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

Stack and Dunne are undoubtedly inexperienced there’s no getting away from that. On the other hand, the likes of Mickey Harte and Declan Kelly bring proven experience. But experience alone isn’t always a guarantee of success, and we’ve seen that in different setups.
That said, I do place a lot of ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

Times up I'd say, its unfortunate and it really is a sad situation. Im sure that management are hurting,It was an awful display against our near neighbours, and at this stage it’s becoming indefensible. There is going to be a change in management the only question is whether it happens now or closer ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

The small crowds attending our senior football matches is mind blowing. Was there a 100 offaly supporters in o connor Park yesterday? Meath as expected brought a big crowd,
There is a disconnect somewhere and I have stated previously maybe an all offaly fresh management would rejuvenated that side ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

As far as The senior footballers are concerned, it seems to be one bad story after another with now Lee and David injured. It seems like we're constantly chasing our tails in terms of just getting bodies on the field. The task has nearly become a mission impossible and the negativity around the ...

I can't disagree, DK did deliver an all Ireland against all the odds and he is an Offaly Man as well.

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

There’s a huge volume of injuries at the moment, and serious questions probably need to be asked about why that is. It may well be down to sheer bad luck, but the number of injuries is alarming, and we’re suffering badly because of our lack of depth as a result.
As I’ve alluded to in previous posts ...

Re: Underage Hurling and Football 2025

If the minors were well beaten, you might put it down as a one-off, but you’d have to be concerned about the manner of the defeat. They were only missing three players all strong players, admittedly but still, only three. You’d imagine Cork were well short of full strength themselves, given the size ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

Ah now, the team Saturday would beat that team by 10 pts, in all truth the athleticism just wouldn't be there . Now I understand what you are trying to say but that particular team is poor enough and our team on Saturday would win . The players there on that team have played a lot for Offaly and wer ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

This debate is likely to continue indefinitely, but in many ways it has become irrelevant. There are those who are firmly proDeclan Kelly and those who are strongly opposed to him. Often, those positions are shaped by personal factors, whether someone is a clubmate, a family friend, or directly ...
