Re: Offaly U20 Hurlers 2025

For what it's worth I'd tend to agree that some lads on here are putting a bit too much value on the u20s retaining their crown.. There are obviously some grey areas on where we stand when we play wexford etc and who should be available but shouldn't be relevant to the u20s... the u20 starters to me ...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2025

So, in the space of 8 months with some of our best players no longer involved we have gone from a 14 point defeat against London to a 6 point win over Sligo.

That tells me all I needed to know about the management we had in 2024 and I just can’t understand why we didn’t give Mickey Harte the job ...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2025

Cian Farrell named on the bench in the match program. Aidan Bracken at 6. Dalton at 5. Different to the social media post.

Is Farrell there? Surely you’d see him among the subs?

Don’t think anyone predicted that, been a while since offaly hit 20 points in January?

I've been sayin ...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2025

Ah come off it, we went the route of clearing house and playing the youth last year and we put in the worst performance of an Offaly Senior football team in the history of the county.

The definition of insanity…

Leave aside the tailteann cup and we were competitive in every game of the ...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2025

Appears declan kelly doesn't like anyone challenging him or offering an opinion within the dressing room, anton is a huge loss to that team to not even make the panel crazy stuff. one of the best forwards in the county if not the best, I know he is 33 so what if your good enough your good ...

Re: Leinster Club Hurling Championship

Maybe I'm not with it but I can't see the big deal with the plan for the day? Surely KK have something similar planned like after county finals etc, you're not gonna plan it and get it sorted at half time if you're winning. Don't see how KK would use it or pin it to the dressing room wall? Silly ...

Re: Leinster Club Hurling Championship

On the upside, KK have a huge chance of winning leinster. I would question the merit if Castletown win over Thomastown, given how Thomastown walked through kilkenny including last years all ireland finalists, they looked the best team in the country.. it must be a fair assumption that they ...

Re: Leinster Club Hurling Championship

I have no time for this sort of sh*t, off the ball, if that’s what happened. Play the game, play hard, by all means, but play straight and fair. Hope Adam is alright for Sunday. He is a joy to watch.

Unfortunately there is a rhetoric about the game going soft and lads need to toughen up and ...

Re: Leinster club championship

My comment was tongue in cheek following on from someone pointing out earlier in the year that Ballinagars "county" players were no good against bridgids. I'm not saying call up all Ballinagar players! At the same time there are plenty of good players at b,inter and even junior playing. Saw a post ...

Re: Leinster club championship

Ballinagar have found their rhythm, hardly anything to do with those county panellists that were no good against bridgids :D maybe declan kelly has a better eye than some of ye think

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2024

Every county played their club championship alongside the county championship for years. Absolutely none do it now. Zero.

That won't change until the diktat comes from on high, because otherwise no county is going to hamstring their own county team and play championship games midseason while ...

Re: Offaly Senior A Hurling Championship 2024

Club players want more games, when do you want them to play their championship games?

Between May and September alongside the county games instead of squeezing them into a small period between August and October in shitty weather and start showing some respect. As I clearly pointed out ...
