Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

Why are Offaly MGT bothering naming a team when the dog on the street knows that’s not the team starting and there is a player not in the 26 that is starting tomorrow.
This is becoming a laugh at this stage.

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

These group of players are been hamstrung by this MGT team it’s not right what’s going on.
The persistence in playing a player from Dublin who from what iv seen is a very average club player over Harry Plunkett a proven scorer and one of the players we posses who can kick from distance is gone ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

Good few changes from that dummy team named why counties do this baffles me.
Dalton after a good game in Tyrone Dropped
Plunkett after a few good games Dropped
Niall Furlong dropped too.
Rory Egan half forward with Daire Mcdaid starting
Hyland starting which is great but how fit is he?
Murphy ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

Cian Johnson broke a finger in the week before the mayo game presume he’s still in there just not back from injury
I believe there will be a change in goals tomorrow too.
Hopefully also if the likes of Lee Pearson and Diarmuid Egan are injured that they are let recover and not be persuaded to play ...

Re: Underage Hurling and Football 2025

Yes and 2 of them been Patrick Duffy and Darragh Stewart 2 of the teams best players. Who were on the team last year so I’m sure they would make a huge difference to a result like that. Which was the point I’m making not to read too much into the result

Re: Underage Hurling and Football 2025

Missing the dual players as it was a hurling weekend and they had a challenge match. You would think that the dual players would be released to play the league game and miss the hurling challenge.
Wouldn’t read too much into that result against Cork considering who was missing.

Re: Club Managers 2024

Seems to be a bit of plucking at straws writing Tullamore off.
Bourke will be available for the knockout stages of the championship by what I have heard. Tullamore will have Luke Egan Aaron Hensey and Nigel bracken fit and back this year giving them more options I’d imagine a few of their senior b ...

Re: Club Managers 2024

Adrian Farrell is the Edenderry Manager. Good appointment
Edenderry mite not be as strong next year and will probably be very young with a raft of retirements and lads travelling but Adrian Farrell will get the best out of what he will have.
Georgie Digan was always gonna take the Ferbane job at ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

Played some good stuff in the first half. Jordan Hayes in particular was outstanding but don’t read too much into the result there was maybe 3/4 first teamers from the Meath squad playing tonight they were very poor and I doubt we will see many from that Meath team playing against Offaly in the ...

Re: U 20 football championship 2025

I’m talking about the u 20 championship make it straight knockout this idea of first rd losers playing first rd losers for a second chance and first winners playing first rd winners and some some first rd losers going straight to a quarter final is a ridiculous system anyway . There is plenty of ...

Re: U 20 football championship 2025

Great win for St Michael’s fully deserved against a fancied Wheery. Congrats to them.
It’s great for Offaly football to see Rhode back again winning and competing at underage. That u 20 team will back bone Rhode for the next ten yrs . The better players are probably their minors so will be few ...
