Commentators said on Sunday during Cavan game that it looks like Paddy Dunican is gone for championship as well, no mention of Flynn in that vein.Snotser123 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2026 8:57 pm Is paddy dunican and Flynn both write offs for the tailteann cup does anyone know ? Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Genuine question back, how did you estimate this Cavan team is "a very poor team"...they were very unlucky to lose their first two games..we were over all soundly beaten in all our games except today...Cavan to me would be not Division 3 team, we have been that division 3 team steady (and lower ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Lads need to relax, its only debate, I will and gave always said though, this building/minding of young players is something we have to get over, all other young prodigy's in their counties are in and playing away...we are tipping and poking with them, years tip around, lads priorities change ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
be it with injuries or indecesions, a massive obstacle Offaly do have is almost every line of the team is not fully settled, fair enough other counties chopping and changing too I suppose, but we have a different line each week on all our team lines.. It might happen for us then on Championship day ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
There are posters on here who think we would beat almost any team below us, where that confidence comes from Ime still waiting to be told, "if we get back x,y&z we will be ok" apparently, one assumes these other teams are not missing any players...look it is as it is..if, and it may well happen ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
ah yeah, I know what you mean, my fear is, as I say, lads (and we havent that many to be able to afford this) wont hang around if they are not making the team, and even injuries when lads are out and away from the set up might re-evaluate the commitment and how its impacting on their day to day ...

Sorry, this ould lark of giving lads time, Adam Hogan, Adam English, Ruben Halloran - just picking them three off the top of my head, the first two played Munster Championship games in the weeks leading UPTO their leaving certs...Ruben Halloran a recent U20 with Waterford, looks more than at home ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
I wouldnt say lads are picking their "fantasy team" like its not like we are blessed with who to pick..its merely who is our current strongesst 15 from what I read of the initial post..Ill be shot down by his nay sayers but a pity Cillian Kiely isnt involved, and if his speed is gone for no. 6 why ...

Laois are not way behind (if even behind) Offaly..put the two teams out next weekend and Ide put a few bob on it being a close game, and ide guess we would possibly lose..where are the scores going to come from to win??..Laois may not be world beaters but they are scoring more than we are ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Ide be putting Shirley in half back line at expense of Kavanagh, who is a fine hurler and might settle in again in hb line, but apparently Sunday he was poor enough, other than that it hard to know, Ciaran Burke probably has to go in full back but Conneely is doing a decent job there if he is moved ...
