Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
While I appreciate I come accross on here as a glass half empty person most of the time in particularly relating to the footballers of late, I cant get my head around some on here saying or intimating that the Tailteann Cup is something the players dont even want now (paraphrasing I know but some ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
I said it during and after the league, how posters on here thought we would beat Laois or get a good run or even win the Tailteann Cup..I dont see what logic gave that..it is now as it is..

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
I suppose the results of the league speak for themselves as to why there is little chat on here about the game..very hard to see how we are slight favourites, its not as if we went down to Div 3 on last day due to other results really, had we been in Divison 3 we wouldnt be anywhere ahead of Laois I ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Wexford are an attacking side, they may not survive in Division 2, but I will bet now they wont be bottom with a massive minus scoring difference..Westmeath had -19 and relegated as bottom team last year from Div 2..we wete tribble that this year..thats a serious minus scoring difference over 7 ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Whatever about leaks, who knows whos leaking team changes and who really cares...are Cavan or Meath or Louth etc going to be really worried about a team promoted last year dropping this player and bringing in another???the players coming in and out aren't really known outside the county so they wont ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
the laois game is an even money game. the fact were 150/1 to win leinster and kidare are 14/1 thats all you all you need to know about how the bookies rate our chances against them if we do happen to beat laois.
upto a game or two ago, a good run/even winning the Tailteann was the expectations ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Commentators said on Sunday during Cavan game that it looks like Paddy Dunican is gone for championship as well, no mention of Flynn in that vein.Snotser123 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2026 8:57 pm Is paddy dunican and Flynn both write offs for the tailteann cup does anyone know ? Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Genuine question back, how did you estimate this Cavan team is "a very poor team"...they were very unlucky to lose their first two games..we were over all soundly beaten in all our games except today...Cavan to me would be not Division 3 team, we have been that division 3 team steady (and lower ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Lads need to relax, its only debate, I will and gave always said though, this building/minding of young players is something we have to get over, all other young prodigy's in their counties are in and playing away...we are tipping and poking with them, years tip around, lads priorities change ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
be it with injuries or indecesions, a massive obstacle Offaly do have is almost every line of the team is not fully settled, fair enough other counties chopping and changing too I suppose, but we have a different line each week on all our team lines.. It might happen for us then on Championship day ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
when posters throw in "your talking bullshit" its a put down to kill the debate...which is all it is...stats scores etc. wont be bothering current management who wont be looking on this website one can be assured..no harm debating and discussing....

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
There are posters on here who think we would beat almost any team below us, where that confidence comes from Ime still waiting to be told, "if we get back x,y&z we will be ok" apparently, one assumes these other teams are not missing any players...look it is as it is..if, and it may well happen ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
ah yeah, I know what you mean, my fear is, as I say, lads (and we havent that many to be able to afford this) wont hang around if they are not making the team, and even injuries when lads are out and away from the set up might re-evaluate the commitment and how its impacting on their day to day ...
