Re: Club football 2025

I was a bit suprised by Ballyboden’s 15 point win last Saturday. I expected Tullamore to be a bit closer in the game. From the local radio report the result was evident by the HT score, 2-12 to 0-4.

No other Offaly SF team would have won last Saturday. Maybe the problem is the SF championship ...

Re: Offaly Camogie 2025 AI final

Congratulations on the win, it was great to see such grit and determination to get over the line in a close game.

Interesting piece also about the moneygall contingent. https://www.irishtimes.com/sport/gaelic-games/2025/08/11/offaly-celebrates-all-ireland-camogie-intermediate-success-from-sydney ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025

That referee shouldn’t be let near a hurling game again I know that’s very cliché but he absolutely did Belmont out of a win
There was at least 2 throws before he blew full time it was obvious to everyone in moyestown he was trying to get the draw for kk

Free after free after free and kk ...

Re: Offaly U20 Hurlers 2025

Where are you pulling that timeframe from?

That's standard recovery time for that type of injury, depends when adam and shane stopped playing/training and started their treatment. Galway match is the 5th of April, they can be rushed back but it's just going to put them back at square one ...

Re: Offaly U20 Hurlers 2025

Any word on Adam Screeney and Shane Rigney’s respective battles with osteitis pubis?

Are they on track to make the Galway game or we looking at a depleted forward line?

At least 6 months recovery time for that type of injury. Not looking good

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2025

Appears declan kelly doesn't like anyone challenging him or offering an opinion within the dressing room, anton is a huge loss to that team to not even make the panel crazy stuff. one of the best forwards in the county if not the best, I know he is 33 so what if your good enough your good enough ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025

A nicely presented map in fairness. Would love to see something similar for Offaly.

If we are to take the top 2 grades and U20 as the comparison in each code, I would imagine you would end up with something very similar.
In football, you could nearly draw a line straight across the county as you ...

Re: Offaly Minor Football 2024

In fact the GAA population in Tullamore is not all that big despite the size of the town. Within the 15000, there is a high proportion of people that'd never even look at a GAA game never mind play it or be involved.

There is way more wasted talent in some of the super amalgamations ...
