Re: Offaly minor football panel 2025

I have to admit that I more focus on the hurling action generally, but I just want to offer my congratulations to these young men. Although we haven't hit the heights on the underage hurling that we were maybe expecting this year, this team has given all supporters a welcome boost and shows the work ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025

Jack Clancy drops off subs which I think is harsh enough, hurled well when he came on in league final and last weeks game would have suited him massively.

Kind of thought the same last week....was expecting him to be brought in as he has a good engine. But to be fair to management, they make ...

Re: Offaly U20 Hurlers 2025

Dublin are pretty poor, lost all their group games and struggled tonight against an average antrim team.

I think you are mistaken......They have an awful lot of the same players from last year. And have more lads who have been in around the Dublin senior squad than they had last year. Kenny ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025

This has came up here before and there is no doubt M Troy is a very good shot stopper but we really need to realise his puck outs aren't up too it.

He couldn't go short or didn't want too and his hanging puck outs that travelled 70 yards weren't long enough and put us under immense pressure it ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025

Rain has stopped here in Dublin. Anyone thinking of coming still has time to jump in the car.

Watching the 1st exchanges between kk abd galway....looks extremely tricky conditions. Short passing game might not be ideal.

Could be an ugly watch in Parnell Park....but that might suit us.

Best of ...

Re: Offaly U20 Hurlers 2025

Strong side to be fair.

Considering you are missing Screeney, Ter Guinan, Scully and Hand who would all probably be starting.

Add Caelum Larkin to that list aswell.

I honestly see us doing well, even without the lads named. There is a lot of experience in that team. 8 of last year starting ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025

I have to admit I was slightly concerned at HT as we were possibly in danger of taking a bit of a beating. But when I watched the game back, we did try to do a lot right in the 1st half, despite things going against us. The 1st 10 minutes we were very lackluster and got off to a very slow start, a ...

Re: Offaly Minor Hurling 2024

Good win for the minors. 2 from 2 now. A nice momentum builder today.

Well done to players and management. Keep up the good work.

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025

Not going to Offaly Waterford.....but I agree that the capacity of Parnell is low, so getting in early to get my tickets for that. Bought 3 this morning just to be certain. Would be great if we could slowly peddle tickets over next fortnight and be out in force then on the day.

Re: Offaly U20 Hurlers 2025

How did we go in u19 match v Westmeath the other night?

Won 2-16 to 1-14 according to social media, I wasn't at it.

That's great to hear. Westmeath beat kilkenny I had noted the week before. This group simmering along nicely, and will no doubt be putting their hand up and pushing the lads ...

Re: Offaly U20 Hurlers 2025

For game 1 v Waterford - Play all the senior players, no Under 20s. Give game time to as much of the senior squad as possible. Try and get the most out of the game.

Game 2 in 1B final - Honestly I don't mind what we do..........but I would side with not playing u20s again.....and play them in the ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025

Of course that game will benefit the team. Playing time in good games benefits all players, but between U-20 and senior, on the first weekend of April, there are 1,950 playing minutes to be allocated, not including injury time, and any red/black cards. That's 900 for the U-20s against Galway (15 ...
