Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Question was 'if everyone fit & available'.
If he was fit & available, in my opinion he'd be involved and I'd have him in at no.6 no doubt.
Bit of a fantasy selection I know but that's all these starting 15 selections tend to be when your not in charge.
K/K wouldn't even hurl him at centre back ...

I’d be of the opinion that it would be more beneficial to us if we beat Dublin and/or Wexford in the Leinster Championship as our next step.
Preferably this year.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Anyone have any idea if the St Brendan’s Park pitch is faring at the moment? Will the game Sunday be held there or is it possible it will be moved to Tullamore?
Offaly GAA sent out a tweet today promoting the game in Birr so they are obviously very confident the pitch will be fine.
Looking ...

2005 Leinster Semi Final vs Kilkenny.
Kilkenny 6-28 Offaly 0-15. A 31 point defeat live on national TV. After being so close to picking up a Leinster Championship the year before.
The day the music died.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Tactics were fairly defensive initially. The Leinster Minor Final when we beat Laois, we could have won by 20 points if he had to allow the lads to hurl in a more attacking sense. Those failings came home to roost in that year's All Ireland Final vs Tipperary.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
I agree here with a lot of what Faithful Future has to say. We have guys to come back in come championship and hopefully they will be available. Donal Shirley, Killian Sampson and Charlie Mitchell improve that starting 15 dramatically. (Just as a point to the poster who suggested Killian will ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
To be fair to Ross he’s a really honest lad and will give you everything. Brings a bit of physicality to the team aswell. A game in February on a saturated pitch is ready made for him. Like, there’s no way we’re getting away with 15 Brecon Kavanaghs this time of the year.

Johnny Kelly doubling down on Ross Ravenhill. Not only is he named to start at 12 again but he’s also the captain this weekend.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Thought Dan Bourke was brilliant. Miller King and Doyle best of the rest.
Cahill and Ross i think will do well to make the 15 when it comes too it.
Would prefer to see Dan Ravenhill up the field.
Use of possession and decision making is a big work on for Ross Ravenhill. He turned the ball over ...
