Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Anyone got an official attendance figure for yesterday?
Apparently just shy of 6,000.
For context the same fixture in Parnell Park in 2025 attracted 5,300.
That is a woeful effort to be fair.
I wouldn’t expect a large Offaly crowd to make the trek to Salthill either considering it’s ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Bookies say Galway by 12.
I tend to agree unfortunately.
If we keep it to single digits it’s been a reasonable day at the office.

Re: U20 hurling
Judging by this year’s underage performances, coupled with last year’s minors, I think it fair to say that our current senior squad aren’t going to get a huge injection of talent in the short to medium term.
It seems after some glorious years our underage results will return to the mean. Which is ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Fill out O'Connor Park for our home games? Absolutely not going to happen.
O'Connor Park holds 18,000 by current H&S regulations.
The largest crowd for an Offaly senior hurling game in there in the last 20 years (at least, as I'm only going since redevelopment) was last year vs Galway when 10 ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Kudos to the Leinster Council on their ticket pricing strategy.
€15 for a terrace ticket is fantastic value.
As a point of reference a Munster championship terrace tickets is €30.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Great to have championship this week. Not incredibly optimistic on how we will do and not sure who is available and not.
But anyways:
Liam Hoare, Brecon Kavanagh, Ben Conneely Ross Ravenhill, Ter Guinan, Killian Sampson, Cathal King, Dan Ravenhill, Oisin Kelly, Dan Burke, Brian Duignan and Adam ...

How many shite performances have the footballers put in the last dozen years? A heap.
A waste of money. Period.

What other county would reappoint a manager who oversaw a 31 point underage championship defeat to Laois?

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
If an ACL injury for Donal is confirmed, then this really is a grievous blow. He’s one of our best players.
My oh my, both panels have really been cursed with injuries this year. It’s desperately unfortunate.
I’m sure if we tracked the inter county training and match load of these players over ...

Pretty hard for Michael Duignan to twist all these injuries back onto the clubs.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Question was 'if everyone fit & available'.
If he was fit & available, in my opinion he'd be involved and I'd have him in at no.6 no doubt.
Bit of a fantasy selection I know but that's all these starting 15 selections tend to be when your not in charge.
K/K wouldn't even hurl him at centre back ...

I’d be of the opinion that it would be more beneficial to us if we beat Dublin and/or Wexford in the Leinster Championship as our next step.
Preferably this year.
