Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025
Again this game suits Dublin supporters perfectly
6 in the evening no way of getting to the game via public transport even if you planned it out
So it’s either drive or gather a bus
But there’s nothing but glory hunters who wouldn’t go to a game not unless it’s an under 20. Final so a bus is ...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2025
A lot of valid points made here since the match.
But a bit of perspective is needed. We gave a great account of ourselves against a high ranking Div 2 team.
As Kevin C says in nearly every article where a team has lost narrowly, "it wouldn't have taken a whole lot more to win it"!! Genius!
But it ...

Re: Offaly u20 Footballers 2025
First of all its a shame that we have nothing to play for from competing in the championship.
But expense is the last thing to be considered. To a degree our seniors had nothing to play for going down to Waterford and they put in a decent shift, and similarly the footballers in Clare, (ok different ...

I think he's not saying anything that he's not entitled to say and that would not be said in any other county with ambitions. Its you thats making the assumptions.ruletheroost wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 2:03 pm Declan Kelly having a right dig at Cian Farrell on Radio 3 by the sounds of it. No need for it.

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025
Here we are now looking for all sorts of positive affirmations that we are again competing with traditional counties????
FFS, what GAA person really goes around saying they are delighted to see such and such a county back up there?
From what I can see, we don't like any other county out there ...

Re: Offaly minor football panel 2025
Is it too early to assess the affect the new rules are having at underage?
There was disgruntlement last year, for certain underage games, when Offaly were deploying mass defences, leading to extremely low scoring contests.
I've seen one match on Sat at county level. So for me thats too early ...

Re: Offaly U20 Hurlers 2025
If it was on the Saturday I'm sure there would be in excess of 3k but it's moved to Tuesday? . A lot of people would find it difficult to go. Tuesday night would be a club training night from juvenile up to senior.
I’d imagine the majority of clubs will move training for it
not a big deal ...

Re: Offaly u20 Footballers 2025
I wont lump in on players or management as it is an amateur sport.
However, criticism is warranted based on last weeks outing. Keeping in mind that Westmeath wont win the Leinster i felt that the Offaly team as prepared and selected were poorly served.
There are things that you can do tactically ...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2025
Brilliant display yesterday and a superb league campaign.
I have no problem admitting that I was wrong in relation to our chances at the start of the league. But thankfully no one pays much heed to what I have to say.

Re: Offaly u20 Footballers 2025
Time to batten down the hatches for this group of players now.
Not great reports but they have to zone in on getting a performance for the first round against Westmeath.
Difficult job there this year for management and the loss of Cillian Bourke will have been a blow. This group are not a bad ...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2025
Great win and performance, particularly second half. First half, Kildare picked their way quite easily through us and with 10 mins gone in second half they probably fell into the trap of thinking the job was done.
Plenty of analysis on the change in performance and mindset and without doubt Mickey ...

What were they thinking is right, Kieran Dolan should not have been in there. I'd love to know on what form in the last 3 years was he picked and he's suffered the consequences.
