You could see today that none of the experienced lads want to play for the current manager. He came in early doors and knocked all the older lads noses out of joint. Thought he might not need them. If he was in Offaly he wouldn’t be playing as he played soccer all the way up. Played underage for Ireland and with St Pats. Meath don’t turn those lads away. And neither should we.


Ah he would of course, sure Jack bryant and Cian McNamee are a couple of examples of lads not overly committed ...

I think our strength and conditioning is way off the top teams.
I sometimes wonder what they are doing actually in the faithful fields.

Just read the ratings on the Offaly Express. 2 of our backs got 8s and 1 got a 9 after we conceeded 3-22. Was I at at a different game or something? Don't get me wrong some of our lads played relatively well but after losing by 20 points at least give an honest rating.

Yesterday was nothing to do with tactics. Dublin are on a different level physique wise. It was like Dublin seniors playing the Dublin minors in a challenge match. I know a lot of the Offaly lads and I know the work they put in at training and even the days they aren't training . I'm not sure how ...

For me a couple of things,

Certain players were going to play regardless of whether they brought their football boots with them. This type of stuff has started to creep into the underage set ups.
Secondly, how they were set up to play, and you can go on what way you like about us beating ...

I agree got home at 1am but i have noticed some of the younger and not so young. Players have a bad attitude.
Maybe it's the modern way but your playing for your county .🤗

It's a hard pill to swallow going out like that after so much preparation for championship and I thought they might have kicked on a bit after the kildare win

Not from the county boards perspective in regards to the seniors as its the only realistic competition offaly can win after the national league. U20 b competition is not going to be taken any way seriously, especially if those players are in college with exams etc coming up.
