Re: Byrne v Duignan
a quick question...not having read the question/answer pieces in your local media, has Michael Duignan indicated if elected he will instantly drop his national media engagements?

Re: Senior B Hurling 2019
good luck to Seir Kieran, I think they can manage to defeat Bray as they may have too much craft. Alas reaching the final may be their limit.
I attended an excellent Kilkenny Intermediate final, a game vastly superior to the senior final which followed that day, and again watched Tullaroan hammer ...

Re: Senior B Hurling 2019
a routine win for clareen. the gaels have had a good year and can build upon it and I dare say that Kinnity in 2020 will not be as daunting in Sen B as Clareen were in 2019, and that may open up this championship.

Re: Leinster Club Hurling Championship - Offaly Representati
For the record this time last year Laois were in trouble and almost threatened by relegation to the Christy Ring. The coordinator of the Leinster Club competitions told me that an implication of relegation would be that if Laois dropped to Christy Ring, then the county senior champions would not be ...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup
with the scoring difference possibly in play, OY has zero chance of getting to a final, the name of the game for OY is to avoid relegation.

Re: Joe McDonagh cup
I didn't post after the game in Tullamore last week, as you get a clearer picture from 2 games as opposed to one.
The good news for OY fans, judged on what I saw in Portlaoise today, you have enough to beat Antrim. They like OY are weak in defence and their main man is Niall McManus and he was ...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup
there was no sneering at the LS/OY league game, POTH was possibly using the word sneering in the sense of toying with, but no matter how you dress up that game OY were dire on the night. League games are now irrelevant.
someone mentioned that OY will be the team to beat in the Joe McDonagh....I beg ...

suckindiesel..are you guys not in division 4 the last time we met we put ye down there
looks like we will return the favour to ye on Saturday week. a shame because OY are not the second worst team in the division.

Re: NFL Division 3 2019
as I expected OY beat Carlow who are becoming exposed as limited and very one dimensional. offaly will beat Sligo and those will be the only other points ye will get.
will 5 points be enough for survival?

"They’re fierce excited about this one over in Laois. The Laoistoday site has even dragged a report recalling their 2004 NHL win over Offaly in Birr – they are still basking in the glow of relegating Offaly that day".

Re: NFL Division 3 2019
I think even at this stage only 4 teams are in play for the drop. Sligo are gone, no doubt about that. then either Carlow, Louth or Offaly.
the Offaly/Carlow game the next day will be a key game, if Offaly lose, then it is curtains. An Offaly win puts Carlow into the mire and the only realistic hope ...

Re: Leinster Club Hurling
for the record I attended the two comer/village games in Ballyraggett and comer were playing out of their skins. when ballyhale defeated them, by a point in the semi final, they were in effect knocking out the best form team left in the championship bar themselves.

Re: Leinster Club Hurling
all very fine POTH but nice to get your facts correct.
ballyhale won all their knockout matches in Kilkenny. They did not require a replay to beat Comer(erins own). You may be mixing up , because it was Comer who needed a replay to beat the Village in the previous round.
I think they will be too ...
