I know clubs with two teams provide one list of 15 players who played senior the year before. Everyone else is regraded once their not listed on the seniors list. I can’t certainly say what the rules are for bigger clubs

There is no ‘list’ for championship. The list of 15 players is for league ...

Ferbane by 2-3 points tomorrow

From talking to a club secretary on this regarding rules on regrading they are different for clubs with two teams and 3 teams. Even if if a player hasn’t played senior in years if the club have 3 teams my understanding is they have to be regraded. It’s not a good situation, lads missing out on ...

Very disappointed for Belmont. Some amount of wides in the second half.

Best of luck to Ballinamere.

Great advertisement for underage football this afternoon in Clara in the U 14 A football final between Ferbane/Belmont and Tullamore
Tullamore came out on top of a Scoreline of 3.16 to 4.8
Tullamore’s ability to kick points proving the difference.

U16 A Final:
St Rynaghs vs Shamrocks

This Shamrocks team won the Jack Wyer 4 years ago and are highly regarded.

Was at the Rynaghs game last night and they looked strong. Big team too for ...

I’ve reached out to a few contacts who I would value their opinion, across Mayo and neighbouring Connaught counties. Very high regard for both Solan and more so Joe Keane.

Having chatted and discussed each of them, I’m very impressed with the appointment. I don’t know how anyone could criticise ...

Stupid post.
If Brosna Gaels and Shamrocks took hurling seriously, they should be established senior b sides.

Brosna Gaels absolutely take their hurling seriously. Unfortunately numbers dictate that we’re not ready to compete with ...

Limerick for me.

Offaly as a small, dual country with a recent history of little success tends to have small support.
I’d hope for an improved Offaly crowd on recent offerings but, given the above, and that Cork will be heavy heavy favourites, I think we’ll be outnumbered 6/7 to 1 easily.

So if Cork bring 35k ...

Is the Down game fixed for Tullamore next Saturday?

we win our 2 games and we go in to preliminary all Ireland quarter final against one of the Joe McDonagh teams. A win there would set up us then for an Ireland final on the back of a 3 game winning streak.

Far better I think than a potential heavy ish defeat to galway in Leinster final ...

remember we lose to wexford and it a joe mcdonagh trap door game against kildare in newbridge. it could all go wrong. equally we might be in the leinster final. biggest game in 20 years.

The chances of us qualifying for a Leinster Final are remote.

Among many things we need to happen ...

Fully agree. And a great motivational game for us too.

Just to be clear, I’m not advocating for dual players at county level. The point I’m making is essentially in response to whenever we have a poor result, the inevitable response is what’s going wrong with Offaly and everyone from county board to team management get the blame.

But the reality is ...
